Melissa Gorga Reveals How to Dress Like a Real Housewife (On a Budget!)
The Real Housewives of New Jersey fashionista opens up her New Jersey Envy boutique for a tour.
This might be the next best thing to being personally styled by Melissa Gorga: The Real Housewives of New Jersey (watch full episodes here) beauty just gave Page Six a video tour of her Envy boutique, and she spilled all her style tips on dressing like a Housewife — even if you're on a budget.
"I have nothing but Housewives attire at Envy," Melissa joked while picking out outfits for Page Six Style editor Elana Fishman. The New Jersey mom explained how her business came about, saying she got inspired after getting message after message from fans asking her what she was wearing. "I said you know what, I'm just going to wear what I want to wear from my own store, and when the whole world is asking me where I got the outfit, they can buy it from me," she says.
So, what exactly are Melissa's tips for dressing like a Real Housewife?
No.1: Say yes to animal print. Melissa loves a good leopard print coat, "especially just being a Jersey girl," she joked. "I honestly do feel like having a little leopard, snake print, anything like that in your closet is a must."
No.2: Being a "coat whore" is a good thing. That's how Melissa described herself and her love of bombers, blazers, and vests.
No.3: A little black dress is so versatile. "We need the LBD in our closet," insists Melissa. She recommends pairing an LBD with a red leather jacket for a night out with the girls.
No.4: But don't forget a pop of color. "I always say incorporate a little bit of red," Melissa says in the video. Well, who could forget how incredibly hot she looked in this red leather minidress earlier in the month?
