Teresa Giudice Says How Melissa and Joe Gorga Came on RHONJ Was "Worse" Than Her Legal Issues

"My family came on the show behind my back," The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom said at BravoCon 2019.

Teresa Giudice stirred the pot in more ways than one at BravoCon 2019.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

After The Real Housewives of New Jersey foodie finished doing a live cooking demonstration of her mother's recipe for steak pizzaiola with Dolores Catania, she spilled some secrets on her past and present relationship with Melissa Gorga while chatting with AOL's Gibson Johns at New York City's Skylight Modern on Sunday, November 17.

During the fan Q&A portion of the event, Teresa reflected on her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, joining RHONJ back in Season 3. "Well, unfortunately, that was the one sad thing for me throughout this whole show, not only the legal stuff, but the family stuff. My family came on the show behind my back, and that was the worst thing that could have ever happened to me," Teresa shared. "That's why I don't speak to Kathy [Wakile] anymore. I'll never speak to her or Rosie [Pierri] ever again because I don't want family like that. But my brother and Melissa, for my parents, of course I forgave them."

Though the sisters-in-law were famously at odds in earlier seasons of RHONJ, Teresa confirmed that she's now "good" with Melissa, although she noted that they are "different."

Teresa illustrated that point by telling the audience "the real truth" about the infamous sprinkle cookies (which are on display in The Real Housewives Museum at BravoCon) incident. "She came over Christmas Eve, she's pregnant, she brings sprinkle cookies, you know, from like ShopRite — in the plastic container!" Teresa recalled. "Like if I go to Joe [Giudice]'s family, I'll go to a bakery, not ShopRite."

Teresa said that she was trying to be a good sister-in-law and educate Melissa on the dessert etiquette for family functions. "So I told her nicely, I was like, 'Next time, bring bakery cookies,'" she said. "So she made it into this whole f--king big deal, put it on Facebook, and she got Bravo's attention. And the rest is history."

But then Teresa reiterated that yes, she and Melissa are in a good place now. No drama here!
