Tiffany Moon Gets Real About Why She Set So Many Rules at Her Dinner Party
The RHOD newcomer gave her guests some guidelines to follow before entering her home. Here's why.
Tiffany Moon has been pretty transparent about the fact that entertaining guests in her Texas home is definitely not her favorite pastime. When The Real Housewives of Dallas newcomer had the ladies over for a pizza night, she ruffled a few feathers when she asked her new friends to abide by a number of rules. Tiffany opened up about her approach to party-throwing on the March 2 episode of RHOD, and shared a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why she put a set of guidelines into place.
After a dinner during the ladies’ trip to Austin, Stephanie Hollman took an opportunity to tell Tiffany how she really felt about her dinner party. “I left feeling very uncomfortable. It just felt very unwelcoming,” Stephanie explained. “I’ve never really been to someone’s house and then walk in and just have like, rule after rule. It just started it a little weird. Like, you saying you wanted us to be done by 10:30.”
In addition to setting an end-time for her guests, Tiffany also asked them to wear disposable booties over their shoes and prohibited fighting.
“I don’t host a lot of parties at my house. It’s not my jam. I am not the hostess with the mostest,” Tiffany replied. “I apologize that I made you feel unwelcome. That was not my intention. Rules actually make me feel welcome, because I know what the ground rules are. If I show up somewhere and there’s rules, I’m like, “Oh, okay.’”
In an interview during the episode, Tiffany reflected on what she'd learned from her conversation with Stephanie.
"I usually make As but Stephanie is giving me a C or a D for my party," Tiffany said. “Note to self. There should be no rules.”
