D'Andra Simmons: LeeAnne Hasn't Changed
"I am really disappointed, because I was hopeful that LeeAnne was making progress in her quest for controlling her emotional outbursts and obvious deep-rooted rage and anger..."
Hey, y’all!
I have to say, as much as I love to travel, I was never happier to hop on a flight back to the U.S. than I was after this Danish drama-infused week!
The end of our last night was a little rocky, to say the least. LeeAnne and I had literally just made up, yet here I had to “choose” between her and Brandi. I felt terrible when Brandi stormed off! It was clear that we were all just afraid of choosing sides, especially if that side wasn’t LeeAnne’s. I mean, when someone admits that they like to watch people crawl away bleeding after they’ve cut off part of their body, you tend not to want to piss that person off! However, I thought that the years of friendship that LeeAnne and I had built would allow me to comfort another friend in her time of need, but I guess I was wrong! Hearing what she said in her confessional about me making a choice between her and Brandi enlightened me a bit more as to why she was so hostile when we got back to Dallas.
Before we get to that, let’s talk about how I am on “friend probation” with Mrs. Westcott! Of course I understand that Kameron and Cary were somewhat joking about Kameron’s distrust in me, however, I found it childish as I originally and intentionally had said it as a joke. Also, I thought that Kameron and I had moved on in Copenhagen! I was a little surprised to hear Cary tell me that Kameron wasn’t quite over it. It was a comment made in jest on our girls trip, and it felt like she was throwing it in my face now and trying to stir up the pot yet again. I guess Kameron is still seeing PINK!
On to the fashion sh-- show! I was actually very excited to be at LeeAnne’s fashion show. I thought we were in a good place and wanted to be there for her when she introduced this innovative dress idea to the community. I could tell she put a lot of effort into her launch. However, I felt a lot of tension between us almost immediately, so I knew that she wasn’t planning on sticking to the truce we made in Copenhagen. I was trying to have a sincere moment with LeeAnne and put things at ease by telling her that I would be there for her no matter what when she launched her business, and she just took the opportunity to make a jab at me!
Listening to LeeAnne go on and on about Brandi’s “mean girl side” and that she feels like she is held to a higher standard than the rest of us was crazy! LeeAnne has said that she is held to a higher standard than the rest of us over and over. It’s like a broken record already, and frankly I am sick of it. Girl, if expecting people not to chase other people around with knives, and hands, and whatever else is the highest standard that we have in this group, we have bigger problems than a cloned phone! You are held to a higher standard because your benchmark for normal behavior is WAY LOWER than the rest of us. I am really disappointed, because I was hopeful that LeeAnne was making progress in her quest for controlling her emotional outbursts and obvious deep-rooted rage and anger, but seeing that she still has this inherent need to seek out vengeance on anyone who she feels has wronged her just shows me that Brandi has been right all along: LeeAnne hasn’t changed.
Tune in next week to see just how deep that need for vengeance is!
Love, D’Andra
