Kameron Westcott: I Wish My Husband Were More Supportive of My Dreams
"I love being CEO of our house but there are times when I do miss having more independence," the #RHOD mom writes.
Bravotv.com: Has your Spanish improved at all?
Kameron Westcott No bueno - it's so embarrassing. Dallas has the most amazing Hispanic population and it drives me nuts that I have no idea what someone is saying when they speak in Spanish. I always just assume everyone is saying something like “Who’s is that crazy tacky person in all rosa?”
Bravotv.com: Is there pressure in Dallas to keep up with the Joneses – or are you the Joneses?
KM: The actual Jones' live down the street from us and nobody can keep up with them, I mean they own the Cowboys. But Dallas is an extremely competitive city, it's a dog eat pink dog food world out there and you always have to bring your A game.
Bravotv.com: What is it like to hear from your husband that he wants to give up your pink dog food idea? Do you miss having a job outside of mommyhood?
KM: It’s actually really frustrating, but I get it. Court’s job requires him to be extra skeptical about all businesses and he just does not want to see me get hurt. But at the same time, I wish he was more supportive of my dreams. I love being CEO of our house but there are times when I do miss having more independence and a life away from the house.
Bravotv.com: Has your husband ever made a big purchase like Travis did with the house without telling you? What do you think of Stephanie Hollman’s house situation?
KM: Yikes, buying a house or building one is one of the toughest decisions that most marriages have to deal with. I feel for Stephanie and I hope that if he really did buy that house without her input that she is able to make it just like she wants it. If Court ever bought a house without consulting me, he would be in the dog house, literally.
Bravotv.com: What do you think of the conversation between LeeAnne Locken and Stephanie at the dog park? Whose side of the text-gate are you on?
KM: It's not he said she said and more, it's now he texted, she texted. I get why LeeAnne is annoyed, no one likes their name dragged under the bus when their intentions are good. I also get Stephanie trying to look out for her friend. So maybe next time she should just call next time, no paper trail of drama then.
Bravotv.com: What do you think of Stephanie’s breakdown toBrandi Redmond and their tension?
KM: I am actually really interested to learn more of what the story is behind their friendship break up. Just like everyone else I don't know the whole story and can’t wait to find out what went down.
