Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Unveils Her Bold New Hair Color (PICS)
The RHOBH alum is, once again, embracing the pink look.
Has Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave hopped on the Barbiecore train? It definitely looks like it.
While many people are embracing the trend through colorful accessories and clothing, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took things one step further by dyeing her hair pink. Teddi showed off the bold new look via Instagram on Friday, July 21, shortly after her hair appointment with Orange County–based stylist Michelle Stevenson of Salon 1506.
Teddi reveals her stunning new hair color
Teddi began by sharing a video of her lying back with her head over a sink as the stylist removed foil from her hair.
“Just another day in the office,” she said before getting a rinse. “Here we go.”
The podcast host/accountability coach returned to Instagram later that day to unveil her fresh dye job and beachy curls. The Instagram Story was fittingly soundtracked by the theme from The Pink Panther.
Teddi’s son, Cruz, also changed up his look
But Teddi wasn’t the only Arroyave family member who had an appointment with Stevenson. The former Beverly Hills ’Wife uploaded a picture of her young son, Cruz, in a salon chair with a computer on his lap and dye in his hair. The stylist was seen sitting next to the 8-year-old as she used a brush to apply additional color.
Teddi confirmed that Cruz was inspired by the platinum blond look Joe Jonas debuted a few years ago. She also suggested that her husband, Edwin Arroyave, had no idea their son was changing his hair color.
“On a scale of 1 to 10 how much trouble are we going to get into [Edwin]?” Teddi captioned the Instagram Story.
Teddi took to Instagram a few hours later to provide a closer look at her and Cruz’s new ’dos.
“Wanna go for a ride? Sure, Ken. Jump in!” she wrote, quoting Aqua’s 1997 hit “Barbie Girl.” “Thank you [Michelle Stevenson].”
The post garnered compliments from multiple Bravolebrities, including The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Jennifer Pedranti, The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Chanel Ayan, and RHOBH OG Kyle Richards, who simply wrote, “Omg I LOVE this.”
A Familiar Look for Teddi
This isn’t the first time Teddi has donned a pink hairstyle. The natural brunette, who typically rocks wheat blonde locks, received a pink dye job in 2020, shortly after she gave birth to her youngest child, Dove.
“After having a baby, I always do something drastic with my hair,” she wrote on Instagram. “This time, I thought pink!”
Teddi used the Pastel Pink Hair Coloring Conditioner by oVertone, a company that specializes in at-home hair-coloring kits. The Beverly Hills mom said her husband approved of the change and described her look as “hawt.” But her son had a much different opinion.
“Cruz said I looked crazy,” Teddi said in the caption. “Whose side are you on?”
