Dorit Kemsley: I Need to Work on My Time Management
Dorit identifies simple miscommunication as the source of the issue between her and Teddi.
Hello, lovelies!
To say I’m excited about my latest project would be a complete understatement. It’s no secret that I’m a fashion lover, so it made sense for me to reunite with my first love: swimwear design! Before I met PK, I had my own swimwear line for five years called Dorit International. I put my company on the back burner when PK and I fell in love and started our family, and I don’t regret doing so for even a minute! Nothing brings me more happiness in life than being a wife to PK and a mom to my babies Jagger and Phoenix. Now that they’re a bit older, I'm ready to pour my heart and soul into a fresh swimwear line launching this spring. I’ve been ferociously working on designs and sketches, and I can hardly wait to reveal the collection!
What happened with Teddi doesn’t need to be dissected any further than it has already, for the source of my tardiness to our drinks came down to miscommunication. There was a discrepancy in what we believed our meeting time was, and I’m utterly sorry for being late. I got stuck on an overseas phone conference regarding my new swimwear line, and I called Teddi to let her know I was running late as soon as it ended. Eek! I need to work on my time management a bit more, that’s for sure!
My love for Kyle continues to grow, which is why seeing her break down in tears over lunch greatly saddened me. I can empathize with how she’s feeling about her relationship with her sisters, and I hope for all their best. I know how sensitive and family-oriented she is, two things I very much relate to. It warms my heart that she was comfortable enough to share what she was going through. I’m always here for Kyle to lend an ear, a shoulder, or a comforting hug.
It was lovely to have a catch-up with Lisa V too. She’s always a straight shooter and tells me like it is. I really appreciate that type of honest approach and being clear with one another. I’m constantly growing and open to her feedback, and our one-on-ones are a great way for us to connect on this deep, personal level.
See you next week!
Sincerely, Dorit xo
