Check Your Hustle Horoscope: An Astrologer Weighs in on How Your Zodiac Sign Affects Your Career

When two housewives get talking, anything can happen. There’s no topic too taboo, nothing too wild and, regardless of shock content, it’s always interesting. (Normally right about now we would list all the outrageous things our favorite ladies have said recently, but honestly, the list would be too long and we do not have that sort of time.)

In their Housewife to Housewife chat (seen above), The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss and The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant interviewed each other and asked all the important questions. (Like “is Beyoncé a robot?”) The most important of which was “what’s your sign?” Interrupting Gizelle’s response to “what three qualities make (her) a good entrepreneur,” Kandi blurted out the astrological inquiry, because, Kandi, like us, is an astrology buff that knows that the two are interrelated. 

Gizelle, without missing a beat revealed herself as a Virgo, listing Virgos' trademark qualities of being organized, committed and determined. Kandi on the other hand is a Taurus, who have a tendency to be perfectionists and also have a strong connection to finances. Yup, sounds like Kandi. 

We spoke to Tess Lee, a queer astrologer based in Gainesville, Florida. Tess blogs at astrogrlz.com, and shared the strengths and weaknesses of each astrological sign in relation to career and the workplace with us.

Strengths: Aquarius is willing to take risks no matter what. They are daring and can go to extremes to advocate for their causes. Aquarians are known to be innovative, controversial and inclined to promote radical change for the better.


Weaknesses:
 Aquarius can lack the ability to take charge because they are more likely to get distant when conflict emerges. If not distant, they can be too unwilling to see perspectives different than their own. At their worst, they can withdraw without notice.

Pisces Bravolebrities: Kristen Doute, D’Andra Simmons, Josh Altman 

Strengths: Pisces are the divine creators in the zodiac. They bring such creative and almost nonsensical approaches to the table that it is almost genius. They love to make their products unique and be part of a larger cause. Pisces are known to be tolerant and accepting people, which makes others feel safe around them

Weaknesses:
 Pisces lack the ability to be organized and on time. They often lack a personal structure in their lives so they can potentially be unreliable. In conflict, if they are losing an argument they remove themselves from the situation, which prevents further negoiating. They can also be painfully vulnerable that it makes logical reasoning processing difficult for them. 

Aries Bravolebrities: Melissa Gorga, Asa Soltan Rahmati, Jeff Lewis, Shannon Beador, Vicki Gunvalson, Robyn Dixon

Strengths: Aries are go-getters who passionately and fiercely go after their goals. They are bold, have no issue with sticking up for what they believe in and can be rather persuasive in getting others to share their ideas. Aries are known to be warriors so they don’t give up as easily when it comes to their goals.

Weaknesses:
 Aries can struggle with organization and being “put together.” Their biggest downfall is perhaps the inclination to act before thinking. Aries can be very emotional and it can sometimes cloud their decision making process, especially with anger pushing them toward impulsive decisions.

Strengths: Taurus takes their time with projects. They love being perfectionists and producing the most creative solutions. They are great deliberators and can be very matter-of-fact with what they want. Taurus has a connection to finances so they are great with sorting out money issues.


Weaknesses:
 Taurus can struggle too much with wanting things to be perfect that they miss deadlines and become demotivated. They give their all in certain projects but to the point where they become drained and its difficult for them to get back into the swing of things. Also, Taurus may be less inclined to hear different perspectives because whatever they think or say is ultimately what they are going to believe in.

Strengths: Gemini is clever when it comes to persuasion, which is an essential strategy in business. They are able to effectively communicate and do so in a way that is informal and exciting. Gemini is quick on its feet and can adapt to any situation, even the most risky.


Weaknesses:
 Gemini can be contradictory which some business associates may take as being unreliable. They can get too anxious during high-risk situations and some may see their indecision as a sign of instability. Ultimately, Gemini struggles with maintaining a concise identity that reflects back as being authentic.

Strengths: Cancer can pick up the needs of its employees rather quickly. They are emotionally centered and well when it comes to relating to their employees and associates. Cancers are also fiercely creative and can adapt to situations by offering inventive, out of the box solutions.


Weaknesses:
 Cancer can be too high strung and sometimes react too quickly instead of taking the time to plan out what is needed. They are lead by their emotions and can change moods quickly, which can lead to outbursts and unfavorable opinions by associates.

Strengths: Leo is naturally inclined to leadership. They are focused on making an impression and try to preserve loyalty. Leos are creative and generous but their drive is what best suits them in positions of power.
