Amy Schumer Planned her Honeymoon Around Eating Pasta and "Getting Drunk" With Her Chef Husband
Schumer, newly wed to Chris Fischer, told Stephen Colbert all about it on The Late Show.
Marrying a chef has its perks, as newlywed Amy Schumer recently found out. The I Feel Pretty star spent her honeymoon in Italy because her husband — James Beard Award winner Chris Fischer of Beetlebug Farm Cookbook notoriety — was cooking at an event in Milan, she told Stephen Colbert. So, like any carb-loving, life-loving human would do, she followed him there.
During an appearance on The Late Show, Schumer revealed the indulgent side of her just-married trip. "He’s a chef, so he was cooking in Sonoma at Scribe Vineyards. So I followed him there. And then he was cooking at a festival in Milan, and I heard that they invented pasta and wine. So I’ve just been kind of following him around getting drunk."
Schumer has been incredibly candid in the past about her refusal to diet like many of industry pals. And in her honeymoon's case, it was all about the pasta. She proudly ate Italy's best, joking: “You know actresses say ‘I love cheeseburgers?’ I’m what you look like if you have pasta and wine."
