When Kyle Cooke and Kory Keefer arrived at the Colorado vacation home on Season 3 of Winter House (which you can check out above), one notable person was missing in action: Amanda Batula.
The Summer House cast member couldn’t make it out west for the beginning of the two-week vacation, and she explained why on the October 24 premiere.
Read on to find out why Amanda was absent and how Kyle felt about not having his wife in the abode with him.
Why was Amanda Batula missing on Winter House?
During the episode, while getting settled in his room, Kyle received a Facetime from Amanda, who was checking in on her husband. “What’s up, how’s the bachelorette?” Kyle asked.
“It’s so nice. I’m very happy in my element,” Amanda told Kyle.
Naturally, Kyle expressed his emotions about how much he missed his wife. However, Amanda’s response wasn’t exactly something Kyle was expecting her to say.
“I don’t,” she said, which came as a shocker to Kyle. “I mean, I love you. I don’t feel like I miss you just yet.”
Kyle Cooke shares what it’s like not having Amanda Batula in the house
Sure, Kyle was taken aback by his wife's comment. However, he was excited about having some time to himself in the Winter House.
“I love Amanda. I wish she was here, but at the same time I am a lot for her to handle,” he admitted in a confessional. “For a couple of days, I can let my freak flag fly. Since no one is there to chop it down.”
Before ending their video call, Amanda reassured Kyle that she would see him in a “few days.”
What else to expect from Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke on Winter House Season 3?
Although Amanda is scheduled to join Kyle in Colorado eventually, things might soon take a turn. According to Kyle’s official cast bio, Kyle is excited about “getting some work-free time to bond with his wife, Amanda Batula, but after a sudden illness delays her arrival out west, an even more unexpected situation comes their way.”
