Phaedra Parks Doesn't See Herself Marrying Again

The Married to Medicine ladies have been busy in Season 10 — especially with Sweet Tea and Dr. Gregory's recent nuptials keeping the love and drama alive. However, all those wedding bells have kept marriage on the ladies' minds, and in one of the latest episodes, new series star Phaedra Parks found herself in the hot seat.

While lounging about on a winery excursion Toya Bush-Harris had set them up for, Toya, Phaedra, Simone Whitmore, and Dr. Alicia Egolum took a moment to reflect on what could be next for Phaedra. The other questioned whether or not Phaedra could ever see herself getting married again.

"Not really," Phaedra responded.

"Ever?" Simone asked in seeming disbelief.

"I don't think you have to put a label on something," Phaedra explained. "And I think for people who are high-income people, it's too dangerous to get married."

And when Simone jumped in to remind Phaedra that, eventually, her children — Ayden, 13, and Dylan, 10 — would grow up "and leave you," Phaedra was unfazed.

"I'm not lonely," Phaedra said calmly. "I guess because I did have a very bad divorce, I was in love, I was so happy, and it went crazy like super quick."

But what, the others asked, did her boys think of her divorce from ex-husband Apollo Nida? Their separation was public and messy, and Phaedra said that her boys definitely saw the headlines.

"During my divorce, I was really in a dark place," Phaedra said in a confessional. "But at the end of the day, I want my sons to know their father and I want them to make their own opinions about who he is as a person. And I think that's really being mature and 'adulting,' which is hard sometimes."

Since Apollo was released from prison in 2019 after serving his sentence for fraud and identity theft beginning in 2014, Phaedra has been able to get to a good place with her ex-husband, as she shared during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in June 2022. “Apollo and I, obviously, have these wonderful two young men. Love. And so we get along very well. I just spoke to him 10, 15 minutes ago,” Phaedra said at the time. “Yeah, we have a good relationship. We co-parent very well."

Watch Season 10 of Married to Medicine on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
