We Finally Know Why Shiva Safai and Mohamed Hadid Broke Up
The intel on the one-time couple comes as Shiva's new man, Niels Houweling, publicly declares his love for her.
Now that Shiva Safai has gone public with her relationship with Niels Houweling, a new report has surfaced giving some insight into why her engagement to Mohamed Hadid ended. According to TMZ sources, it didn't work because Shiva wanted to have children and Mohamed didn't (he's already a dad to five kids, three of which are with his The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ex-wife Yolanda Hadid).
Another sticking point for Shiva were reports that Mohamed had a relationship with another woman, which made Shiva rethink her future with the real estate mogul.
Shiva and Mohamed reportedly broke up about a year ago, and it wasn't confirmed who ended the relationship in the end. Shiva also gave back her engagement ring, which was a family heirloom. It now belongs to Mohamed's eldest sister.
As for Shiva's new relationship, well, it looks to be going great. After going red carpet and Instagram official last month, Shiva and Niels spent Thanksgiving together and are very publicly declaring their feelings for one another on social media.
Shiva posted a photo of her and Niels on a "fancy date night [heart] and he commented, "Forever honored to be [heart]."
And he only stepped up his declarations of love for Shiva on his Instagram Stories.
