Alexis Bellino Reveals the Reason She Called Off Her 3-Year Engagement to Andy Bohn
The update on the former couple's relationship comes after RHOC alum Alexis made a surprise appearance at BravoCon 2023.
Alexis Bellino and her fiancé Andy “Drew” Bohn broke up and called off their engagement in September.
The Real Housewives of Orange County issued a statement at the time, which read in part, "Drew and I have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. Despite this, our love for each other remains strong, and we both sincerely wish nothing but the best for one another. We recognize that it’s in our best interest to pursue separate paths.”
Now, Alexis is shedding some light on the reasoning for the split. Read on to see what she shared following her surprise appearance at The Bravos, which aired on the Nov. 5 episode of BravoCon Live as part of the BravoCon 2023 weekend.
Why Alexis Bellino Ended Her Engagement to Andy Bohn
Speaking about the breakup to Page Six, Alexis revealed that the recent death of her mother, Penelope, made her realize it was time to end things with Andy.
"The death of a close person like your mom either makes a couple or breaks a couple,” Alexis said. “And, unfortunately for me, it broke us.”
Alexis also acknowledged her mother's passing when she first announced that she and Andy were no longer together. More specifically, she stated, "We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for both of our families as we navigate through this breakup, especially considering the recent [loss] of my mother."
Further elaborating on the split in conversation with Page Six, Alexis noted that she was able to "recognize" that she and Andy ultimately weren't compatible. "I felt it was better if we just take different paths for now and he agreed,” she added. “I just know it was the best decision for us.”

Alexis and Andy first took their relationship public in February 2019. A little over a year later, in December 2020, they announced their engagement by sharing an Instagram photo of them kissing as Alexis showed off an engagement ring on her finger.
The former couple continued to document their relationship on social media over the years, and as recently as July, they were all smiles as they took a family vacation with Alexis’ three kids — Miles, Mackenna, and James — whom she shares with her ex-husband, Jim Bellino. The two divorced in 2018.
