Yes, Sonja Morgan Has a New Man — But There's a Reason We’re Not Seeing Him Anytime Soon
Sonja Morgan was already dating her new man while filming the latest season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Whether it's her motel door in Benton or her dating life, Sonja Morgan is keeping the Do Not Disturb sign up.
The longtime Housewife returns to St. Barts in the new season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy. And while the season is all about old friendships, these days Sonja is excited about a new man.
Sonja chatted with The Daily Dish about her new relationship as well as her experience on the show.
Sonja Morgan Reveals How She Met Her New Boyfriend
Luann de Lesseps and Sonja linked up in Benton, Illinois while filming Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake to help spruce up the town, which is what partially inspired her new relationship.
“Well, once you go Benton, you don’t go back,” Sonja joked to The Daily Dish. “I mean, those guys down there are real guys. I’m like, what am I doing messing around with these metrosexuals with the Hermès Pochette in the pocket? Get a Viking. Get a real man.”
She's been seeing her new Viking for eight months and confirmed she's very happy with him.
Although, she’s keeping his identity private for now, the pair met through a mutual friend.
“I’m hanging out off-season and I meet this wonderful woman,” Sonja said, explaining they connected over their divorces. “Then, I meet her best friend and she’s like, 'No, Sonja … not my best friend!' and I go, 'I just I really feel something.'”
On top of the connection she instantly felt with him, Sonja noted he simply smelled really good.

“You know me, I like to dance with them first,” Sonja said.
Sonja set up her friend with a different guy she met at a bar, and before she knew it, she was meeting her new man for a drink.
“I ran over there and he was like, ‘Check!,’ Sonja recalled laughing. “We’re out of there.”
But when asked if she’d ever bring him into the world of filming for one of the shows, she responded: “Why would I?”
The longtime Bravo star recalled that a past relationship stopped short because of a tabloid headline, so she'd rather not bring her new boyfriend into the public eye.
At BravoCon 2023, Sonja also referenced her current relationship, saying, "I'm in one lane right now because I'm getting it good with a Viking, so I'm not gonna mess it up."
Sonja Morgan Talks RHONY Friendships
But it's not just about romance for Sonja. She also reflected on her RHONY friendships to The Daily Dish.
Time spent with Luann during filming Crappie Lake was “perfect” for Sonja: “We’re an old, married couple.”
“I had to put a do not disturb sign on my motel door because Luann was right next door and she’s very extroverted,” Sonja said.
But her time in Illinois with Luann did remind her of how much she missed her other “real friends,” including Dorinda Medley.

“The last time I ran into Dorinda right after COVID, I started crying the minute I saw her,” Sonja said of the "emotional" reunion.
Sonja was able to reconnect with Dorinda, Luann, as well as Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Ramona Singer, and Kristen Taekman in the Caribbean for new season of RHUGT.
