Mia Thornton's Love Life "Ups and Downs" Will Be Seen on RHOP — Who Is Her Estranged Husband?
Mia Thornton recently announced her split from businessman Gordon Thornton.
Mia Thornton’s fiery personality has become one of her her hallmark characteristics on The Real Housewives of the Potomac (which has a new season premiering Nov. 5 at 8/7c on Bravo!), so much she has referred to herself as an “alpha female lioness.”
But Mia recently confirmed that she is now a solo lioness.
Mia noted in a Sept. 29 statement that she’s ending her 12-year marriage to Gordon Thornton, with whom she has two children.
Who is Mia Thornton’s husband?
Gordon, 71, is an entrepreneur from North Carolina whose business experience includes owning a number of McDonald's franchises and branches of Massage Envy, as well as holding an executive position with Giselle Executive Management DBA.
In Gordon’s most recent venture, he and Mia have worked together at The Joint Chiropractic, a chain of wellness facilities where alleviating neck and back pain is a focus.
In advance of Season 8 of RHOP, it was revealed that Gordon and Mia have faced “business issues,” just as they have in their 11-year marriage.

“Mia and Gordon are not in a good place in their marriage,” according to the look-ahead of Season 8. “Mia has looked into getting a divorce attorney, but she's choosing to go to couples therapy first.”
Gordon met Mia at a strip club charity event in 2003. They bonded over altruistic endeavors and married in 2012. In addition to their children, Jeremiah, 8, and Juliana, 6, they each have a child from previous relationships.
Gordon’s appearances on RHOP have stood out for various reasons. He has been called “a force to be reckoned with” by Housewife Karen Huger and it's been acknowledged he can be “a little extra.”
Gordon and Mia’s marital “ups and downs,” as she referred to them in PEOPLE, that led to their split, will be a focus on RHOP Season 8. The new season of The Real Housewives of the Potomac airs Nov. 5 at 8/7c on Bravo.
