Jennie Nguyen Reveals Her Husband's Reaction to Her Comment About His Looks
The newest RHOSLC 'Wife opens up about her husband's take on her comments in the Season 2 premiere.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans got to meet Jennie Nguyen during the Season 2 premiere, which aired on September 12. They didn't just get an introduction to Jennie but also to her family, including her husband Duy Tran.
And it was in that episode that Jennie memorably recalled their courtship and made a comment about her spouse's looks that had everyone talking, including Heather Gay when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday.
"My husband Duy is a chiropractor. We've been married for 14 years," Jennie said in the September 12 episode of RHOSLC. "We actually met through my sister-in-law while I was working at a photography studio doing her makeup for her family photo. She was like, 'I want you to meet my brother. He's a doctor. He lives in Salt Lake City, and so therefore I'm gonna set you up on a blind date.' When I first met my husband, I was like, 'Damn, you have a nice body from the neck down, from the neck up I was like, you know, it was OK.' I didn't tell him. [I was like,] you got me, man. And then we've been together ever since."
So, how did Duy feel about her comments? Jennie explained it all to a fan on Twitter. "My husband did not take offense to my comment," she wrote. "He knew I was joking. He actually thought it was funny, but I do understand your point of view."
Plus, Jennie definitely isn't afraid to show her hubby some love and shower him with compliments on Instagram, posting sweet messages like, "Enjoy spending time with this wonderful man."
Jennie and her husband are, of course, pals with Lisa Barlow and her husband, John. Lisa and Jennie have been friends for a long time after meeting at their sons' school years ago. "We were both pregnant together," Lisa shared about her friend of more than a decade in the Season 2 premiere episode. "Our boys were at the same private school."
Jennie also opened up about meeting Lisa, recalling their first encounter at their sons' school. "We turned around, and we bumped bellies 'cause we were out to here," she said.
All these years later, the friendship is still going strong.
