Whitney Rose Teases Her Plans For RHOSLC Season 5 Reunion: "My Biggest Thing..." (EXCLUSIVE)
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member also opened up about what she wishes to clear up amid a dramatic Season 5.
Whitney Rose has no regrets from Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but it has not been an easy one for her either. The PRISM jewelry designer has been at odds with Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow, while trying to defend her business and comments that she made about her fellow cast members in the past.
But, in a recent interview with The Daily Dish, she admitted that she wants to address those feuds with Lisa and Meredith at the upcoming RHOSLC Season 5 reunion. "My biggest thing that I want to address is answers to if we are truly friends," she said in an exclusive interview back in November, referring to the both of them.
"If we are truly friends and you advocate that you're women supporting women, why are you treating me this way? What is the intention? I want to get to the bottom of that," she continued. "I don't want any BS answers. I want the truth. Because clearly there's a problem, and I want to get to that so it stops."
Whitney noted that she wants to clear the air for their future harmony. "Because I can't have another year of friendship, [and] like, sleeping with one eye open," she explained.
What happened between Whitney Rose and Lisa Barlow?
During the RHOSLC Season 5 premiere, Lisa accused Whitney of being a liar. "I am not a liar, do not come after my character, Lisa," Whitney told her over dinner during the episode. "I have never lied."
Whitney then proceeded to be called out on her "lies" by Lisa, Meredith, and Heather Gay, as they all remarked on instances where she "stretched the truth" in the past. During The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show, Lisa provided her commentary on Whitney's lies.
"The second thing with Whitney, that makes her lies dangerous, is that she involves family members, businesses...it's reckless," Lisa explained. "If you perpetuate lies, you are a liar," she concluded.
Whitney Rose addresses "liar" allegation
In November, Whitney told The Daily Dish that she doesn't like being called a liar by her fellow cast members. "I don't like being called a liar, 'cause I'm the furthest thing from a liar, I'm an open book," she explained.
"Because I really don't like that my character is in question," she said. "But I think by the end of the season, I'm hoping everyone will see the truth...and if you have to yell that someone's a liar without proving what they're lying about, you're probably protecting your own lies, right?"
Meredith Marks addresses her relationship with Whitney Rose
Whitney and Meredith, however, had their own disagreements when Meredith accused Whitney of copying her love of bath bombs in RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 1, and questioned where she sourced her jewelry line during Episode 4.
During a panel at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami on Nov. 23, Meredith revealed that she and Whitney are not in the best place now. "I mean, somebody told me she blocked me on Instagram," she said. "I think mine and my entire family. I really don't know. I didn't check it myself. I was told this, so I'm not 100 percent sure."
Whitney Rose wishes she spoke up in RHOSLC Season 5
Last month, Whitney told The Daily Dish that while she doesn't have too many regrets from the season, she wishes that she had spoken up more in her arguments with her fellow cast members. "When someone starts yelling, I — because of my history and what I've been through — I go inward and get quiet," she explained. "I don't like yelling."
"So it's very hard for me to make my point when someone's screaming in my face," she continued. "But I feel like I'm strong enough now to know those tactics and how to stop them...So I just wish I would have done that early on in the season."
