Whitney & Bronwyn Hit Back at Lisa Barlow After Cast Trip Drama: “That Blew Up in Her Face”
Whitney Rose and Bronwyn Newport shared their thoughts on the cast's rooming drama during the RHOSLC After Show.
Rooming drama during a cast trip is just part of being a Real Housewife at this point. The most recent example? The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast's trip to Puerto Vallarta in Season 5, Episode 13.
The issue all started when Lisa Barlow planned the trip and decided to hand out room assignments instead of having everyone choose where to sleep when they arrived. In one wing, she placed Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Britani Bateman, and herself. In the other wing, she had Bronwyn Newport, Angie Katsanevas, and Whitney Rose — all of whom weren't on speaking terms at the time.
"I went into Puerto Vallarta only really speaking to Lisa, and she put me with you guys that I was not speaking to. And then tried to be like, 'It's for your benefit.' No, it's not for my benefit," Bronwyn said while chatting with Whitney during the After Show.
In response, Whitney said that she's been on multiple girls' trips and that Bronwyn should actually be grateful for the way things worked out.
"Being near Lisa is exhausting. She'll knock on your door at all hours of the night," the jewelry designer shared. "She does some sneaky business. Lots of venting. Lots of crying." Bronwyn added that even though they were on the other side of the villa, Lisa still came and knocked on their doors.
Did Bronwyn Newport work out her issues with Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas?
Yes. Bronwyn shared in the video above that the rooming assignments did lead to resolution.
"Lisa, I take it back. It ended up being for my benefit," Bronwyn said before turning to Whitney. "I had to figure it out with you guys. We saved the best room for Mary [Cosby], and I had to talk to you and Angie. I had to figure it out with the two of you. That's where I was. It just pushed it to be much quicker than if I wasn't in such an awkward physical location, rooming with you."
Nevertheless, she's pretty sure Lisa didn't think that putting her there would lead to conflict resolution — and a budding friendship between the women.
"I think she thought we were all going to be uncomfortable. So, thank you," she said, to which Whitney added, "That blew up in her face a little bit."
Bronwyn Newport Reacts to the Rooming Assignments on the RHOSLC Cast Trip
During the After Show, Bronwyn explained why she was initially so angry with Lisa over the rooming assignment.
"She might as well have just have been like, 'If I don't f-ck with you, you're in that place. And everybody I like is in here. She didn't need to tell our names. We knew who we were," she noted. "And, as Michael Jordan says, 'I took that personally.' I did. I did not like the team she placed me on. And I did not like that she tried to sell it to me as 'looking out for me.'"

Lisa chimed in to say that she was actually super thoughtful about everyone when planning the vacation.
"I knew that [Britani] just had conflict with Angie and Whitney will do anything Angie's doing and team up with her," she said. "And I also knew that, like, [Britani's] biggest friends in the group were me and Heather. And I thought about it, and I'm like, 'You know what? I'm going to give Angie and Bronwyn a suite — there's only two suites in each villa."
"Bronwyn had just been attacked by a dog, so I thought she would want a bigger space with a more beautiful room," she continued. "And I thought I was doing the right thing by everybody."
The Vida Tequila founder also said she would "never" complain about her room on a trip she's invited to.

No one was as upset as Bronwyn about the rooming situation — perhaps because they were on a side of the villa they liked?
"That's 'cause we're the A-team," Heather joked during the After Show. "Welcome to the villa, we're the bombshells."
Britani seemed to agree, joking, "Whoop whoop. I made it."
