Britani Reveals Shocking Off-Camera Conversation with Bronwyn: “Got Busted...”

Britani Bateman and Bronwyn Newport unpack their ongoing drama on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show.

By Sophie Vilensky

From the Season 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake Cityit was clear that Bronwyn Newport and Britani Bateman might not be the best of friends. Now, 12 episodes into the season, the newcomers still don't see eye-to-eye over a slew of issues. The latest source of contention? Britani's career.

While Bronwyn has said she doesn't believe that Britani was ever on Broadway, Britani noted in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show video above, "[Bronwyn] told me told me off-camera that she knows that I did Broadway."

The confession stunned Lisa Barlow, who declared, "That's, like, a lie because she's vehement with me that you never did."

"Bronwyn lies. I mean, she's got busted in her lies," Britani responded. "And I think that's really embarrassing. She's used to not being held accountable. [ ... ] I just don't know why she targets me with these lies."

How did Bronwyn Newport and Britani Bateman's drama start?

According to the women, their distaste for one another started when they first met, prior to the show. (You might recall their first joint scene at Lisa's Besos party, where Britani told Bronwyn that she loved her "costume" in reference to her heart-shaped Saint Laurent coat).

"Bronwyn had it out for me," said Britani. "I mean, at the ropes course, I was totally cold-shouldering her. I wouldn't even look at her because of something that had happened before we even started hanging out in this group."

Interestingly enough, this is one thing they can agree on.

"I knew from the jump I was not here for Britani," explained Bronwyn. The reason for that, according to Lisa, was that Bronwyn thought Britani "lied about being on Broadway."

Was Britani Bateman on Broadway?

Although Bronwyn remains adamant that Britani was not on Broadway, Britani declared in the video above: "Girl, you can Google it."

"In fact, one of Andy Cohen's best friends, he and I were in the same Broadway show together," she continued. "The second national Broadway tour of Miss Saigon."

At the end of the clip, Britani made her stance clear one more time: "I was absolutely on Broadway."

Bronwyn, however, said she considers this to be "exaggerating."

"If Britani was in a touring production or a high school production or sings in her shower, then she should just keep it to that. She doesn't need to say she was on Broadway if she wasn't," she stated. "I'm just going to be very clear: the shade for me is the exaggerating. I think she's probably a great performer, she's probably a great singer. I mean, she's definitely in that world. I just don't think she's in that world to the level she would like to tell everyone she is."

Bronwyn Newport details her new Broadway career move

As it turns out, Bronwyn recently launched her own Broadway career.

"I am new in the Broadway world," she shared in the video above. "I just produced my first show and I have two more coming out next season."
