Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Share a Surprising Update on Their Friendships with Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval
Jax revealed why he thinks one of the exes is a “different person” now.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have noticed a serious change in Ariana Madix since her relationship with Tom Sandoval came to an end — and thankfully, it’s a positive one.
As fans may recall, the Vanderpump Rules cast members broke up in March after more than nine years of dating amid rumors that Tom had been unfaithful with Raquel Leviss.
In the wake of her breakup, Ariana has done everything from enjoying a girls’ night out with her fellow Vanderpump Rules ladies to celebrating her friends’ wedding in the U.K. with gal pals Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan. Plus, she booked a movie role, attended events including the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and Coachella (where she was spotted spending time with trainer Daniel Wai), and won a major award.
Suffice to say, “She just seems like she’s doing great,” Brittany said when she appeared alongside her husband on the Forever Young podcast. “So I feel like on that side, I feel like things are better.”
The Kentucky native also noted that Jax and Ariana have gotten to a better place in their friendship. “For Jax, I feel like he’s gotten closer to Ariana through all of this drama,” Brittany said, adding that Ariana attended their son Cruz’s birthday party in April.
Jax explained that he’s had a complicated friendship with Ariana in the past, and while the two hadn’t spoken much after his relationship with Sandoval deteriorated, today, “I have nothing against Ariana.”
“We’re just two different people,” Jax continued. “We just never really got along; we’d butt heads. [But] ever since this has happened, I feel like she’s a different person.”
The When Reality Hits podcast co-host said he’s run into Ariana “a few times” since the breakup, and she has “a huge support system” around her.
“She just seems really happy. She seems like a totally different person. She just seems like a beautiful person; she looks gorgeous, she looks great,” Jax continued. “It seems like a huge weight was lifted off of her shoulders.”
As for where Jax and Brittany stand with Tom, she said, “We haven’t talked to Tom or anything like that.”
