Where Are They Now: RHOC's Sarah Winchester
After cake-gate, the RHOC guest star tried a new career as a radio-show host.
Whenever one of our Real Housewives leaves a franchise, she rarely goes alone: The members of her entourage, who viewers have grown to know and love, also exited. Each week, we'll be looking into the lives of one of these familiar faces. Today, it's The Real Housewives of Orange County's Sarah Winchester.
Sarah Winchester—a close friend of both Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino—started whipping up drama as soon as she started appearing on The Real Housewives of Orange County as a "friend of the Housewives" in Season 7.
There was, of course, Cake-gate: Ravenous Sarah dared to eat a piece of the fondant bow that decorated Heather Dubrow's name-party cake before the confection was cut, and all hell broke loose. Heather, Tamara Judge and Vicki Gunvalson were so horrified, they went off on Sarah while her buddy Alexis attempted to mitigate the drama. "She's stickin' up for the crazy lady," Tamara said of Alexis at the time. "All I can say is Dumb and Dumber." Never one to keep her mouth shut, Sarah fired back at Heather: "You're fake and you're pretentious."
Then, of course, Heather and husband Terry refused to believe Sarah's claim that she was an heiress to the Winchester—as in rifle—family fortune.
But since her time on RHOC, which ended in early 2012, Sarah has virtually disappeared from public life. She briefly popped up on a short-lived radio program, hosting "Sarah's Secrets" on BlogTalk Radio from December 2012 to January 2013. There, she spent an hour a week interviewing various celebrities including former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and plastic surgeon Paul Nassif, the actors who played the gold and blue Power Rangers, a celebrity makeup artist, and a Playboy Playmate.
Sarah appeared at an event for EZ Way Broadcasting in January 2013 to plug her radio-hosting gig, explaining that big things were happening for her. "I own an LLC—a marketing company—so I'm doing pretty much everything, anything from shoes, clothing—I'm doing it all," she told DiversityTalkTV at the time. But she hasn't surfaced since: Sarah's website has since shut down and her official Twitter accounts have been quiet for the last 18 months. Hopefully, she'll make a grand return to the spotlight soon!
