Karent Sierra: My Life After the Real Housewives
The RHOM alum dumped her boyfriend and still hangs with some of her castmates—find out who.
What happens to our Real Housewives once they've left a franchise? Each week, we're looking into the lives of past cast members after their exits. This week, former The Real Housewives of Miami star Karent Sierra.
She feuded hard with Adriana De Moura and Alexia Echevarria during her tenure as a series regular on Season 2 of RHOM, but these days, Karent Sierra's world is slightly less dramatic.
After her castmates tried to expose her boyfriend Rodolfo Jiménez and his questionable behavior with other women, Karent finally split with the Spanish-language TV star in late 2012. "Men don't change. If they're caught lying and they're caught cheating once, they're most likely going to be doing it again," she said to VH1 post-split, referring to male behavior that turns her off. "And I just can't live with that insecurity, I need to be secure in my relationship as well as myself."
Perhaps surprisingly, the celebrity dentist—she's counted musicians Pitbull, Jon Secada and Arturo Sandoval as clients—doesn't harbor any hard feelings. "I don't wish him bad," she told AllAboutTRH. "I just wish him well and it obviously wasn't meant to be."
It didn't, however, take Karent long to find a new man. She started dating Mexican singer and actor Paulo Quevedo a few months after her season ended and the pair became glamorous regulars on the Miami party and fundraising scenes. She's also stayed in the spotlight with appearances on The Doctors, where in 2013 she showed off her cosmetic dentistry skills and helped viewers with their dental problems.
Karent has remained friends with RHOM's Joanna Krupa and husband Romain Zago—the pals can be seen all over Karent's Instagram account. "Always a great time when we get together!" she shared along with a photo of the threesome enjoying a recent beach day in June.
Karent says she's glad viewers got to know her on RHOM, even if her tenure was brief. "It was a great experience," the Colombian-American beauty told VIP TV last year, "and the best way to get myself known in the American market."
