"I'm a survivalist for sure," The Real Housewives of Orange County newcomer, who is mom to Nicholas, 5, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2, told The Daily Dish. And she's got advice for young women contemplating the same early path of marriage and starting a family.

"I would wait," cautioned Gina, who got married at age 23 and is now 34. "I got married really young and I had babies very young and I think that where I'm from — I'm from Long Island, and I think that it's just kind of the circuit, the thing to do. And we're all really, really embedded there into family and extended family and growing family. You just get married and have babies."

They relocated from the East Coast to the West Coast for Matt's work, and something changed for Gina.

"Now, having come to California, it kind of opened my horizons more," she added. "And I just think you should live life and really experience things before you take on — it's a big deal, kids."

When Gina appeared in the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Clubhouse, she asserted that she and Matt remain friends. "Well, we have [split up], but we will never be split," she said.
