Tom Sandoval Has Entered the Raquel Leviss and Katie Maloney Drama
The Vanderpump Rules cast member got involved after Raquel was dubbed a “fan girl” of him and Tom Schwartz.
The Tom Tom sweatshirt saga has lived to see another day — but this time, Tom Sandoval himself is getting involved.
In case you missed it, said saga began when a fan-run Vanderpump Rules Instagram account shared a photo of Raquel Leviss wearing a Tom Tom shirt and Katie Maloney commented, “[She’s] a fan girl. Started as a fan of the show now a fan of the [Toms].”
Raquel eventually issued an indirect response, writing, “I admit… I am a fan of the [Toms]” on another post. Then, replying to a comment asking if she meant Tom Tom or Tom Schwartz himself — who Raquel was rumored to be “making out” with at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ August wedding in Mexico — Raquel replied, “I’m definitely a fan of the restaurant… best vibe, food and drinks in WeHo in my opinion. But I’m also a fan of Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval!! Here to support their business endeavors.”
Other Vanderpump Rules cast members eventually came to Raquel’s defense, including Sandoval, who poked fun at the drama by dressing up as Raquel (in a wig and a Tom Tom sweatshirt, of course) for Halloween. Tom shared on Instagram several photos and videos of himself in the getup, one of which was jokingly captioned, “Raquel has got to stop showing up at Tom Tom[,] it’s so embarrassing.”
Raquel made an Instagram post of her own, further elaborating on the now-infamous sweatshirt. “Just came here to say that the number one reason I wore this TomTom sweatshirt on Day 3 of BravoCon was for the comfy vibes,” she captioned a slideshow of photos and videos from BravoCon 2022. “I also wore it to support BOTH of the [Toms] and encouraged people to stop by their booth to check out the rest of the cute merch. I really enjoy supporting my friends and being comfy at the same time.” She added hashtags that read “sue me” and “‘number one Tom Stan.”
The model also filmed a video with Sandoval, telling the camera, “Guys! Look who I ran into. It’s Raquel from BravoCon day three!”
Katie has yet to respond or comment on the stunt, but Ariana Madix and Scheana both stepped in to defend Raquel.
“Tom SANDOVAL gave one to all of us to wear to the show and we all wore them to support,” Ariana wrote on Instagram. “Now this drama is happening and sales of the hoodie are way up[,] so thanks to everyone I guess for making this a thing!”
Scheana reiterated that the hoodies were a gift, writing in an Instagram comment, “There are two Toms here. We were both given hoodies at Sandoval’s show the night before. She was supporting her friends and rocking their merch that they were selling at BravoCon.”
