Shannon Beador Holds a "Special Place" in Vicki Gunvalson's Heart on the Anniversary of Her Mother's Death
The OG of the #RHOC posted a heartbreaking tribute to her mother one year after her death.
We witnessed one of the most shocking and heartrending moments in Real Housewives history last season on The Real Housewives of Orange County when Vicki Gunvalson received the news that her mother Joanne Closset Steinmetz had suddenly passed away (clip above).
Now a year after her mother's passing, Vicki is keeping her spirit alive with a touching tribute on Instagram. "1 year ago today, our family lost our amazing, fun, beautiful, classy talented mother & Nana. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her & I hope she hears me when I speak to her in heaven," Vicki wrote. "I lift our family up in prayer today as we mourn our beautiful Joanne. Life is not the same without you."
Interestingly enough, Vicki also honored Shannon Beador in her post since she was attending one of her RHOC castmate's Bunco nights at her home when she found out that her mother had died. "To @shannonbeador you hold a special place in my heart because I was at your home when I received that awful news," Vicki also wrote in the post.
Joanne passed away on February 4, 2015 at the age of 83 from unknown causes (Vicki later explained in her blog on Bravotv.com that the family elected not to have an autopsy performed but that the coroner said she either died from a massive heart attack or an aneurysm). "She was the rock of our family – she was an amazing mother to all five children, and an amazing grandmother to five grandchildren, and to two beautiful great grandchildren, Owen and Troy," Vicki wrote in her blog post published last July. "There isn't a day that goes by where I don't want to pick up the phone to ask her a question or tell her I love her. I miss her so much, but know one day I will be with her in Heaven and at peace."
