Kristen Doute Reveals the Real Reason She Returned to Vanderpump Rules
The alum made a cameo on the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale.
Ariana Madix turned to a familiar face for support following her and Tom Sandoval’s split on May 17’s Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale: Kristen Doute.
The pair, who have become close friends in the years since Tom broke up with Kristen for Ariana, bonded over the fact that both of their relationships with the TomTom co-owner had ended in a similar manner.

Ariana’s Thoughts on Tom Cheating on Kristen with Her
Fans may recall that back on Vanderpump Rules Season 2, Sandoval admitted he had cheated on Kristen with Ariana. More specifically, he said at the time, “Three years ago, me and Ariana made out in a swimming pool at the f-cking Golden Nugget. Yes, that did happen.”
On the Vanderpump Rules finale, Ariana acknowledged the incident while talking to Kristen. “It’s like, yes, me and Tom kissed, [but] you think that it’s an isolated thing or you think that it’s like, this is a situation-based thing. But… this is who this person is,” she said. “And it’s really sh-tty that it took nine years to f-cking figure that out. Nine years I could’ve spent not defending him at your sake.”
Kristen’s Comparison of Her Relationship with Tom to Ariana’s
After Ariana made the remark about defending Tom for Kristen’s sake, Kristen responded, “Oh, pishposh on me. If anything, I’m sorry to you that you had to do me the favor of taking him away.”
Kristen also said there’s no comparing “the joke of the relationship” she had with Tom to the “10-year life partnership” Ariana had with him.
The comment was similar to several Kristen made on the May 3 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after Andy pointed out that a “small contingency” of viewers believed that Ariana should’ve seen all this coming since she “allegedly [began] a relationship with Tom when [he and Kristen] were still dating.”
Responded Kristen, “I’m the one who gets to say this — nobody else’s opinion matters — it is not the same thing. [Ariana] didn’t deserve it. Not at all.”
Kristen added that she doesn’t feel “vindicated” by the split. As she put it, “Tom and I were together almost six years, [but] we should’ve broken up after a year or two. He and Ariana have been together almost a decade — they own a home together.”
Kristen’s Reason for Returning to Vanderpump Rules
During the same WWHL appearance, Andy asked Kristen about her decision to make an appearance on the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale. Her response? “I asked Ariana if she really, really wanted me to do it, and she said yes. So I did.”
Later, Andy asked Kristen if she was “happy to be back in the fray.”
“Sure am,” she said, smiling.
