Uma Thurman Is Heading to Bravo
The award-winning actress will appear on the upcoming scripted series My So Called Wife.
Hey, Kiddo, when Bravo's My So Called Wife (working title) hits airwaves in 2017, one of the actresses will look quite familiar. Uma Thurman has been cast on the new dark comedy as a guest star in a multi-episode story arc. The Golden Globe-winning actress will play Lenny Cohen, a "lethal, articulate and mysterious" fixer, hired when someone needs a situation handled.
“Uma and I have been friends for a very long time — I’m thrilled that after many tries we’ll finally get to work together,” Executive Producer Adam Brooks said in a statement. “Paul Adelstein and I wrote the role of Lenny Cohen specifically for her, and we are so excited to see how Uma's iconic and very special talents will bring to life this unique and provocative character.”
The show follows con artist Maddie (played by Gang Related actress Inbar Lavi) who regularly gets men and women to fall in love with her, only to leave with their money and just enough of their dirty laundry to keep them from going to the authorities. But her life takes a turn for the complicated when two of her previous victims, Ezra (Rob Heaps of Frankenstein and the Vampyre: A Dark and Stormy Night) and Richard (Suburgatory's Parker Young) join forces to warn her next one, Patrick (Being Mary Jane's Stephen Bishop).
The series is executive produced by Adam Brooks (Definitely, Maybe), who also directed the pilot, and Paul Adelstein (who Bravo viewers know as Jake Novak on Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce).
