"Ice cream! Mine's definitely ice cream," he tells the Dish. "And I like to eat fried chicken."

His deep-fried indulgence doesn't even need to be fancy. "I used to like to go to Popeyes, but they disappointed me last time. There's also a place called Frenchy's in Houston that I like."

The James Beard Award-winning chef, who just won the prestigious S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup may serve up creative and playful dishes like "Rabbit Seven Ways" and cheddar-cheese ice cream sandwiches in his own restaurant, but when he's home, he loves comfort food like burgers and chips.

"I also like hamburgers in Austin. P. Terry's is good. And Hopdoddy [Burger Bar]," says Paul. "And I like potato chips. I feel like anytime I eat Classic Lays, I eat the whole bag!"
