Tom Schwartz Is Relaunching His Whiskey Brand with Tom Sandoval: "Super Stoked"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member also revealed his surprising "sidequests," including professional poker and DJing.
Tom Schwartz has big plans for summer 2024.
Less than two weeks after the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 finale, the Minnesota native revealed he and castmate Tom Sandoval were reviving their small-batch whiskey brand, Toms’ Good Lovin’. The bar/restaurant owner shared the big news during the latest episode of Balancing Act, a podcast series hosted by The Valley’s Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.
“We’re kind of relaunching our whiskey, which I’m super stoked about,” he said in the May 16 broadcast. “We’re going to be doing some bottle signings next week. We got distribution in California, which is cool.”
Tom Schwartz reveals his DJing and poker pursuits
But the updates didn’t stop there. Tom told the couple he intended to spend the summer traveling the world and pursuing “sidequests” — income-generating gigs that don’t require long-term commitments.
“I don’t know if you remember, Kristen, but before the pandemic, I was getting to the point where I was just confident enough to DJ in the bars,” he said. “I want to be able to DJ in my bars. I’m not trying to be, like, a superstar DJ. I just want to be able to DJ in my bars… I’m going to travel for the first time in my life. I’m planning on playing the World Series of Poker. Kristen, you know, I’m an avid poker player.”
Tom also said he’s been focusing on his mental and physical wellbeing, as he’s “been working out every day, eating healthier,” and “reading a little.”

Tom Schwartz on why he's hesitant to move in with Tom Sandoval
Elsewhere in the interview, Tom was asked about possibly living in the Valley Village home owned by Tom Sandoval and his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix. Although he committed to the move in Season 11, Episode 14, Tom Schwartz suggested he had a change of heart in Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion.
“I go back and forth because it’s a beautiful home [and] I miss having a backyard,” Tom said. “But I have some reservations about living there, just given the history.”
He reiterated his concerns during his Balancing Act sitdown, saying the move would undoubtedly spark major backlash.
“The optics of me moving in with Sandoval are not good for my personal growth and everything,” he explained. “I also don’t mind helping my friend out because I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen with the house, but I know his mortgage is going to be a lot more should he get to keep the house.”
He continued: “As much as we love each other, and we’ve had very healthy conversations about this, we’re like, ‘Dude, I don’t really want to live with you.’ He’s like, ‘I don’t want to live with you either, but I’m thinking it would be fun one last time before we get too old, we get hitched, have kids.’ Maybe it’d be fun to live together, but it’s like, my god, the sentiment online is like, ew, don’t do it, loser.”
Tom Schwartz says he's building a home in Florida
Tom said he intended to ditch his current Los Angeles apartment and “downsize” to a more affordable “artist loft.” He told Kristen and Luke he wanted to cut his monthly living expenses while building a home in Florida.
“Also, this is another dream that I think is finally coming to fruition,” the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner said. “I’m finally going to build a house for my family there and I have like this little pond.”
