We Have a Major Update on Tinsley Mortimer's Mom Dale's Dating Life

Tinsley Mortimer often seeks the advice of her mother (or, let's face it, is just handed that advice), Dale Mercer, on The Real Housewives of New York City when it comes to personal matters.

And these days, Tinsley might be on her way to happily ever after now that she's engaged to Scott Kluth, so fans might be wondering if her mom is also attached to anyone given her way of offering up wise words regarding matters of the heart.

Well, as it turns out, Dale is currently single, according to Tinsley.

"She does not have anybody special. I think she still feels like she can’t be with somebody until both of her daughters are completely settled down in some way. And we both are engaged, so that’s great. So, Mom is heading towards a place where I think she can let go a little bit more. Which is awesome," Tinsley told The Daily Dish in a recent interview about her mom, who was divorced from Tinsley's father, George Riley Mercer Jr., before his passing in 2015.

But Tinsley is more than open to the idea of her mom finding someone: "Oh my god, I would love it. It’s not because I’d like her to have a distraction in that way and not communicating with me. It’s not about that. It’s just, you know, I’d love for her to have that."

Though, Tinsley wouldn't mind Dale having someone to spend her free time on and perhaps put less of her focus on the Tins.

"She lives in Palm Beach and my sister [Dabney Mercer] and her fiancé live down in Palm Beach too. So, they’re together and physically I spend a lot more time there. But of course, you know, being engaged and spending time with Scott and then of course with this I haven’t seen her as much as I usually do," Tinsley said. "But, it would be so, it would be great for her. And then of course, yes, it would be great. Because then she wouldn’t be so absorbed in my life and my sister’s life and so focused on us. So, that would be great," Tinsley added with a laugh.
