Dorinda Medley Reacts to Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth’s Breakup
Here's what the RHONY alum had to say about the end of Tinsley's engagement.
Back in March, it was confirmed that Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth had ended their engagement. As fans will recall, their relationship ups and downs were featured during Tinsley's time on The Real Housewives of New York City. Though, they had eventually made the decision to try and make it work. In fact, she left during Season 12 to pursue a life with him in Chicago.
The future of their relationship was met with some skepticism by Dorinda Medley, who was knee-deep in drama with Tinsley during her time on RHONY before she, too, exited following Season 12.
When Dorinda appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday (August 10), she shared how she supported Tinsley following her split earlier this year despite their previous issues.
"I actually wrote to her right away, and I said, 'Listen, I'm sorry that you're going through this.' You know, whatever happens when we're filming and stuff, at the end of the day, you don't want people to go through that," Dorinda told a fan during her WWHL appearance. "I told Andy [Cohen] that I just wrote to her right away, and I said, 'Sorry about that,' because she believed in it, and I think she really hoped it was gonna happen. And what can you say?"
Dorinda did jokingly add that she could have said "I told you so," to which Andy responded, "You could have said that, but you didn't."
These days, Tinsley is keeping busy traveling and keeping in touch with old NYC pals, like Leah McSweeney. She also shared an update on her life as she looks to celebrate her birthday this month. Posting a bedroom selfie from her mom Dale Mercer's home in Rhode Island, Tinsley shared, "This Angel [on the headboard] has had my back for so many years at my mom’s place in Newport. Love to you all!!! Your support and belief in me means the world! Especially in times like these!" Tinsley added, "Yes my bday is coming up soon and [I'm] feeling a bit emotional!"
