Who Is Kristen Doute’s Boyfriend Luke Broderick? All About Their Opposites Attract Love Story
The Valley's Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick initially met at a wedding, and now host a podcast together.
It’s been said that opposites attract, and that’s certainly the case for The Valley couple Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.
Luke, for example, feels most at home in the outdoors, whether it’s fishing, chopping wood, or hunting in the Colorado wilderness.
“Luke loves to hunt and fish … I am an animal advocate,” Kristen explained in a Dec. 21, 2022 episode of their podcast Sex, Love and What Else Matters, according to Page Six. “I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 11 years old, and that truly was the one thing that was a little difficult for me in the beginning.”
Fans will get an up close look at the couple’s dynamic in Bravo’s new Vanderpump Rules spin-off The Valley, premiering in the spring of 2024. They’ll join VPR alums and their love interests, including Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, Danny and Nia Booko, Jesse and Michelle Lally, and Jason and Janet Caperna, as the group tries out suburban life.
Luke and Kristen’s apparent differences are even hinted at in their official Bravo bio:
“After her last breakup, Kristen came to the realization that she was ready to have a baby and as life would have it, that’s when she met Luke at a wedding in Colorado. An outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and hunting in the Rocky Mountains, Luke is no fan of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood but has chosen to reside in the Valley to be with Kristen. This duo has a lot to juggle including starting a family, caring for three dogs, running multiple businesses, and not to mention, figuring out which state they want to call home.”
While they may come from different backgrounds, these two lovebirds also have plenty in common which has kept the relationship happily flourishing.
Who is The Valley’s Luke Broderick?
So just who is Kristen’s beau? A quick look through his Instagram highlights his love of golf and appreciation for the southern Colorado wilderness.
“This place is so magical,” he captioned a series of breathtaking landscape photos. “Southern Colorado will always have a special place in my heart.”
He’s also a man who values his family, calling his brother Ethan his “best friend” in one shot and sharing an adorable four-generations pic of the women in his family wearing matching pajamas in another post.
“I love my family so much,” he shared. “Being in California and 2000+ miles away from my amazing sisters, mother, grandmothers and niece wears on me. I love you…You’re all so special to me and amazing in your own ways.”
Luke is also clearly devoted to Kristen — who makes frequent appearances on his Insta page.
“A lot changed for me in 2022. The best part was @kristendoute coming into my life,” he captioned one shot of the two adorably gazing at the camera. “We’ve had a lot of adventures and fun already and I can’t wait for what’s next! Love you babe.”
When did Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick start dating?
The pair met in June 2022 when she was serving as a bridesmaid and he was serving as a groomsman in a mutual friend’s wedding, according to US Weekly.
There was an undeniable spark, but Kristen later confessed she was hesitant at the time to jump into another serious relationship.

“I battled with being, like, your person. I love you so much, but just the thought of being someone’s girlfriend again threw me through a loop because I want to be a wife and I want to be a mother,” she shared on the podcast. “Most of all, I just want to be a mother and a partner. And I was so tired of being a girlfriend for a couple of years and then having s—t fall apart.”
Despite her reservations, by December 2022, the podcast hosts had made their relationship official and are already establishing some relationship goals.
Do Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick have children?
Along with hosting the podcast together, the couple has been vocal about their desire to start a family.
In November, Kristen shared the heartbreaking news that she’d suffered a miscarriage at six weeks after being overjoyed about the pregnancy.
"The only silver lining, the fact that we've now been digesting this for the last four or five days, is that I know once Luke and I are past this, we can try again," she said on the podcast, according to PEOPLE. "And we were very lucky and very fortunate that we got pregnant so quickly. We were so so lucky because it could have gone a different way for me at my age."
Luke pledged to be by his girlfriend’s side and was already looking forward to happier moments ahead.
"I just know that I have to be your rock here, and I want to," he said. "I want to be there with you, for you. And help get over these sad times, and get back to more happy times, because I know it won't be that far off."
"It's coming, we will accomplish it, and we'll be an awesome, happy family some day,” he continued.
