Michelle Lally Reveals an “Upsetting” Text From Kristen Doute: “Secrets Are Safe with Me”

“I don’t know what that means exactly," Michelle Saniei Lally said of the vague text message.

Kristen Doute has vowed to protect Michelle Saniei Lally’s “secrets” even during some choppy friendship waters.

How to Watch

Watch The Valley on Peacock.

But if a new preview clip of The Valley is any indication, Michelle seems to be in the dark about just what those “secrets” are.

The two friends have struggled to see eye-to-eye ever since a posh dinner party devolved into a screaming match between the two.

What did Kristen Doute text Michelle Lally?

In the clip, Michelle and her husband, Jesse, were rehashing the disastrous dinner party on their back patio, when Michelle revealed she’d gotten a strange text from Kristen.

“So, Kristen sent me a text message and she said, ‘I just wanted to assure you that your secrets are safe with me and I don’t retaliate for the sake of my own mental health. Wishing you the best,’” Michelle shared.

“Um, what secret is she talking about?” a confused Jesse asked.

Kristen may have sent the message to the real estate agent with the best of intentions, but the text didn’t seem to do anything to quell Michelle’s anger. Instead, it left her upset and confused.

“I don’t know what that means exactly, but does she not comprehend that my life is much bigger than this,” Michelle fumed. “I work. I’m a mother of a 3-year-old and I keep trying to be the bigger person, but like she keeps upsetting me.”

The only upside to the text? It gave the struggling couple something to chuckle about together.

Jesse commended Michelle for her “direct and forceful” approach when confronting Kristen at the party.

“I loved it,” he said, before adding, “You had veins in your neck, I was so turned on.”

Michelle insisted she was just trying to get everyone to “calm” down — but Jesse playfully teased her about knocking over her chair in the heat of the moment.

“That chair was very, like, light, it just fell over,” Michelle replied with a smile.

The playful banter had the couple smiling and laughing.

“Jesse and I haven’t laughed like this in years,” Michelle confessed to producers. “In a twisted way, Kristen is bringing Jesse and I together, but I’m not going to thank her for that.”

Jesse and Michelle have been open about their marriage struggles, even sharing a session with their life coach on The Valley where Michelle admitted she hadn’t felt attracted to her husband in a long time.

The pair publicly announced their split just days before The Valley was set to premiere.

To find out more about what prompted the mysterious text, watch The Valley Tuesday nights on Bravo or available streaming the next day.
