Here's How the Real Housewives Feel About the New Salt Lake City Franchise
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is coming to Bravo sooner than you think.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is on its way, and it'll be here even sooner than you — or any of the Housewives from the current franchises — think.
Just how soon, you ask? Well, when Melissa Gorga, Dorinda Medley, Karen Huger, D'Andra Simmons, Dorit Kemsley, Kenya Moore, and Shannon Storms Beador got together for a group video chat, they were quickly joined by a surprise incoming call from Salt Lake City, as you can see in the below clip. Watch the video to see how they're getting ready to welcome the newest Housewives on the block.
We also learn from the clip that RHOSLC is coming to Bravo this fall. As Karen playfully says in the video, "Let the games begin."
Andy Cohen, who is an executive producer of The Real Housewives, first announced the new franchise at BravoCon in November 2019 (clip above). "We've always tried to choose cities that have completely unique personalities, and we also try to throw a little curveball now and then, pick somewhere you maybe weren't expecting," he said. "We are very excited to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for The Real Housewives of SLC."
Andy also teased what we can expect from the new franchise. "You didn't see it coming, but I have to tell you, in Utah, you've got the majesty of the mountains, you've got the majesty of the Mormon religion, you've got an exclusive community of people who have very successful businesses, who live in their own universe. They hobnob with Hollywood stars who come to Sundance," Andy said. "It is gorgeous, and I think you're gonna be really surprised, intrigued, and titillated by the group of women we have chosen in Salt Lake City for the next Real Housewives. Stay tuned."
RHOSLC will be the 10th franchise in the history of The Real Housewives, joining The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Real Housewives of D.C., The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Miami, The Real Housewives of Potomac, and The Real Housewives of Dallas.
