Here's How The Real Housewives of Potomac Cast Really Feels About Newcomer Wendy Osefo
The newest addition to RHOP will inspire different reactions among the ladies this season.
Word on the street is there's a new member of The Real Housewives of Potomac squad, and we're happy to say that is most certainly true. Wendy Osefo, a professor, political analyst, entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three, joins the cast in Season 5, premiering this summer.
We are already living for Wendy, from what we see of the new Housewife in the above trailer for the new season. Right off the bat, she is serving up "a snakeskin body roll situation." Plus, she already has Candiace Dillard Bassett's seal of approval. "Wendy is Black Girl Magic personified," Candiace says in the trailer. "She could read a book, honey, and she could read you down."
And Candiace isn't kidding. It looks like Wendy will be getting into it with Ashley Darby this season, in particular, correcting her new friend in the trailer, "It's Dr. Wendy. Address me correctly, sweetie."
Wendy has definitely gotten us excited for what's to come with the crew with this tantalizing tease of the new season featured in Bravo's recent Instagram Story. "Hi, guys. I cannot wait for you guys to see my first, my very first season of Real Housewives of Potomac," she said. "It is going to be wild. Buckle up your seatbelts because you're in for a ride."
It seems like Wendy's arrival in the group will inspire mixed reactions from the RHOP ladies this season. However, several of Wendy's fellow Cherry Blossoms gave her the warmest of welcomes on Instagram, including Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Candiace.
Wendy is also already feeling the love from RHOP fans. "Thank you all for the love and support. I am humbled and honored to have been chosen to join the cast of such an extraordinary franchise," she shared in a post on Instagram on March 27. "As the first Nigerian Housewife in @bravotv franchise history, I do not take my role and the symbolism of what I represent to so many people for granted."
She's ready to show the world just how dynamic she truly is. "As a wife, mother of three children, professor and political commentator, I am excited to show the world that women can wear many hats, and the term 'wife' and 'mother' do not limit nor define who and what we are as individuals. And while women can have it all, it often comes at a price," she concluded the post. "I look forward to showing the many sides of womanhood, showcasing my cultural roots, and letting people know that 'Black Girls Rock' is not just a catchphrase, but a way of life. Xx, Wen."
