Bethenny Frankel Opens Up About the "Shift" in Her Friendship with Carole Radziwill
"It gets more intense," The Real Housewives of New York City mogul teased.
Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill have teased that their close friendship is not what it used to be, both on The Real Housewives of New York City and in interviews since this season began. And now that the new season of RHONY is airing, Bethenny and Carole are getting a chance to see what the other has said about their relationship on the show.
In fact, Carole has already responded to one of Bethenny's comments that she made during an interview on RHONY in which she claimed that Carole always needs to have a best friend by her side. "No, it's not true. Everything that Bethenny says about me is not true," Carole said during the April 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "That wasn't the friendship I was having with her at the time, so I was just as surprised as the audience was to hear all of that. I was just being a really good friend, wrote a lot of checks for her charity."
So when Bethenny appeared on WWHL Wednesday night, Andy Cohen asked her for her thoughts on Carole's response. Bethenny confirmed that "there was a shift" in her friendship with Carole. She also teased that "it gets more intense" this season. Bethenny addressed more of Carole's comments on how they're getting along this season, which you can check out in the video, above.
Carole commented on her rumored falling out with Bethenny during an interview with E! News last month. "I'm an idealistic kind of person. I look at the world that way, I look at people that way, and I think I looked at her that way," she explained. "And I feel like now I see her a little bit more realistically and less idealistically. There were just some things that were said and done that I just felt like weren't completely consistent with the girl I knew."
But Bethenny told Australia's TheFix last month that "there’s no fallout between Carole and myself." "Creating friendships under these circumstances, on a reality show, with so many people around … If you have any sort of slight shift, everybody’s [like], ‘Well what happened? And that happened,’" she explained. "And so everyone’s involved. There are too many cooks boiling the broth. But I love Carole and I love being on the show with her and it’s been a great experience.”
See how things are between Bethenny and Carole on Wednesday's all-new episode of RHONY at 9/8c. Until then, you can catch a preview, below.
