Teresa Giudice on Caroline Manzo's Prediction About Her Legal Issues: "Was She a Rat?"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum once predicted that the couple would divorce.
Many seasons ago on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Caroline Manzo made a bold statement about the fate of Teresa and Joe Giudice's marriage.
"Prediction: Something may happen where maybe someone has to go somewhere. Teresa is gonna have to pull herself up by her bootstraps and take over," Caroline said in an interview on the show. "She'll say, 'You know what, I tried, I stood by him, but I have to divorce him now. And I'm gonna show my daughters what it's like to be strong and independent on your own and survive.'"
Now it appears that Caroline may have been quite prophetic with her comments. After spending extended periods of time away from each other while serving out their individual prison sentences and as Joe faces the possibility of deportation, he and Teresa spoke about the future of their relationship during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked Sunday night. They both seemed to agree that they might not spend the next chapter of their lives together if Joe has to stay in his native Italy.
While addressing Caroline's prediction during her interview with Andy Cohen, Teresa wondered why the RHONJ alum seemed to imply that the Giudices were headed for some legal trouble. "My thing is how could she predict that? Did she have anything to do with what happened to Joe and I? Was she a rat?" Teresa said (clip above). "Why did she say that? Why? Those words would never come out of my mouth regarding anybody. Anybody."
Andy then asked if Teresa thought Caroline called the Feds. "Maybe. You never know," she said. "Why would she predict those words?"
Joe, who spoke via video from Italy, clarified that he knows "who went to the feds," and it was not Caroline.
Teresa then commented on the possibility of Caroline's prediction coming true. "I'm not gonna sugarcoat anything," she said. "I mean, this is my life. I've been through a lot."
Teresa and Caroline didn't leave off on RHONJ on the best of terms, to put it lightly, and they haven't had any sort of relationship since. Teresa said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October 2017 that she has no intention of ever trying to reconnect with Caroline.
