Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Explains What Has Her "So Confused" About Kyle Richards' Separation
The RHOBH alum discussed the "extreme highs and lows" of marriage.
Teddi MellencampArroyave is weighing in on the major change in her best friend Kyle Richards' love life.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills O.G. confirmed her separation from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, for the first time during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October 2023. Teddi was by Kyle's side when she made the announcement, and she's now revealing what makes her "so confused" about the separation.

Teddi Mellencamp Reacts to Kyle Richards' Separation
Teddi, who first became close with Kyle when she was a full-time cast member on RHOBH from Seasons 8 through 10, had some questions for the Season 13 cast.
In case you need a refresher, Kyle has been candid with fellow castmates Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Garcelle Beauvais, and Annemarie Wiley, about the difficulties she's been facing in her marriage. Teddi wondered why the ladies hadn't been more supportive of Kyle amid her struggles.
"I'm so confused as to why some of the women — when she said in episode one 'I'm struggling' — why no one asked any questions. Why nobody said 'Is there anything I can do?' Why nobody was an actual friend in that moment ," Teddi told E! News. "And now, episodes later, [they] are kind of coming at her. Like, she already told you guys and none of you chose to ask. That's the part that's hard."
Teddi Mellencamp Sounds Off on the "Highs and Lows" in Kyle Richards' Marriage
The RHOBH alum also shared her thoughts on Kyle and Mauricio's decision to separate as a couple.
"I think that in every marriage there are extreme highs and lows, and I think the more people talk about it the more we normalize the fight you have to do to stay together as a married couple," Teddi said. "They've had an incredible journey."
She's also been thinking about Kyle and Mauricio's daughters, Alexia, Sophia, Portia, and Farrah (who Kyle shares with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie).
"I love that entire family and I just want what's best for them," Teddi concluded.
Kyle is also focused on what's best for her four girls, as she confirmed during a chat with The Messenger that she will "for sure" be spending the holidays with Mauricio.
"We’re still in the same place," she told the outlet on November 28. "It’s certainly not a position I ever imagined myself to be in, you know, after being married all these years. And I love him very much, obviously. So that part is obviously difficult, but I think people do think it’s probably strange, I guess. I don’t know… We were watching movies last night with the girls. And so I’m just grateful that we’re as good of friends as we are. And we can navigate through this difficult time the way we are."
