Kyle Cooke Hopes He and Carl Radke Will Be “Good” Amid Ups and Downs on Summer House
After watching their feud play out on Summer House Season 7, Kyle shared where he stands with Carl now.
Though their friendship and working relationship is in a tenuous place on Summer House Season 7, Carl Radke and Kyle Cooke’s bromance is officially on the mend.
In case you need a refresher on what’s been going down in the Hamptons this season, Carl has been questioning his position as the VP of sales at Kyle’s alcohol company, Loverboy (he ultimately left the company in the fall of 2022). While Carl expressed that it has been difficult for him to sell alcohol as someone who is sober, Kyle questioned whether Carl’s relationship with his now-fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, is to blame for his recent unhappiness in his career.
While chatting with The Daily Dish in February, ahead of the Season 7 premiere, Kyle insisted that his friendship with Carl was getting back to a better place.
“We’re friends. It’s gonna be hard to relive all of it, but I think both of us are very supportive of the journey,” Kyle said at the time.
Now that the two have had a chance to “relive” some of the summer through the episodes that have aired thus far, Kyle has shared an update about where things stand with Carl today. On March 7, he took to his Instagram Stories to post a photo of the two hanging out together at a hotel.
“[Two] friends, [one] pic in front of a hotel lobby floral arrangement. Just a long overdue hang sesh,” Kyle began his Instagram caption.
He said he’s been able to get a new perspective on what happened during the summer now that Season 7 is airing.
“Filming can be A LOT. But the actual airing of the footage is what really challenges friendships [and] relationships. The cast gets to see what they missed while others were filming,” he said, going on to explain that a lot of honesty tends to come out when the cast members film their interviews for the show.
“Confessionals create an environment where you can speak your mind way more freely than in the moment to someone’s face,” Kyle continued. “And then social media platforms allow everyone else to weigh in on what they saw in the condensed edit.”
Though it can be “weird” for Carl and Kyle to find out what they have been saying about each other (and their disagreement) in their interviews, they’re choosing to look at the whole experience as an opportunity for growth.
“So in a weird way I just wanted you all to know that [Carl Radke] and I are watching this season together as friends and learning a lot about ourselves and one another in the process,” Kyle concluded his Instagram Story. “We’ll be good. I love this guy.”
