That much became clear on Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 10 when Shep Rose revealed to Whitney Sudler-Smith and Patricia Altschul what happened between him and Taylor Ann Green during the guys' trip to his family's mountain home in the Appalachians.
Until then, all viewers knew was that the former couple had woken up in the same bed. Shep also referred to Taylor as a "kissing bandit" at the time, but when Rodrigo Reyes found the two together, Shep ultimately claimed that they simply "slept in the same bed with the dog that we love," aka Lil Craig.

What Happened Between Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green in Linville
Speaking to Whitney and Patricia about the guys trip, Shep bluntly stated, "I woke up next to Taylor."
Whitney, for his part, wasn't thrilled. "You can't be leading her on," he said. "Leave her peace."
But Shep insisted he wasn't leading Taylor on. "We just kissed," he explained. "That's all we did. So, there's that."
He elaborated further in a confessional interview. "Well, Taylor, I think she wanted it a little more, but we've been really good about not backsliding," Shep said. "And I really don't want that to happen again."
Like Whitney, Patricia also reacted Shep's revelation, but in a confessional of her own. As she put it, "You know, there are a zillion attractive young people in Charleston. Why this group has to all sleep with each other is beyond me. It's like very incestuous. I don't get it."
Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green's Relationship History
In case you need a refresher, Shep and Taylor began dating in early 2020. Their relationship was first seen during Season 7 of Southern Charm, and Taylor became an official Charm-er during Season 8.
