Simon Guobadia Declares His Love for Porsha Williams Following News of Their Divorce
The Nigerian businessman said he will continue to love the RHOA 'Wife until their "divorce is final."
Simon Guobadia has broken his silence on his marital split from Porsha Williams.
According to legal documents reviewed by People magazine, Porsha filed a petition for divorce on February 22 — just 15 months after she and the Nigerian businessman tied the knot. Although The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom has not explicitly commented on her decision, Simon briefly addressed the matter in a February 25 Instagram Story, in which he also reiterated his feelings toward the “love of [his] life.”
“Will Stop Loving My Wife When Divorce is Final,” he wrote.

How did Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia meet?
Porsha met Simon while filming RHOA Season 13 (2020) when he was married to series “friend” Falynn Guobadia. Simon and Falynn announced their divorce in April 2021, saying the split was a “mutual decision.”
“After two years of marriage and five years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” Falynn wrote on Instagram. “We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children.”

Just weeks after the divorce announcement, Porsha confirmed she and Simon were officially engaged. Porsha admitted that “the optics” didn’t look great, but insisted she and Simon didn’t start dating until months after he filed for legal separation.
“I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest,” she wrote in a May 10, 2021, Instagram. “For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them. Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.”
Porsha went on to say that Simon and her ex-fiance, Dennis McKinley, were both “respectful and supportive of [her] happiness,” and were committed to being “the best co-parents” to Pilar Jhena McKinley — the 4-year-old daughter she shares with Dennis.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” Porsha said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”
