Shannon Beador Flexes Her Acting Muscles for Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce Cameo
The #RHOC mom has just added a new gig to her resume thanks to #GG2D.
Is Shannon Beador ready to leave the comforts of the OC behind for the bright lights of Hollywood? Probably not. But that might be the question fans are asking themselves after her unforgettable cameo on Tuesday's (December 8) episode Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce. The Real Housewives of Orange County 'Wife made an appearance on the scripted series (as herself). And in case you missed it, you can check out the moment below, complete with its references to date nights with her hubby David Beador, as well as Feng shui.
Entertainment Tonight was on set with Shannon when she filmed the cameo, and she had high hopes for the episode. “It's crazy! I'm playing myself, so I'm not really acting, 'cause I'm not an actor and I don't think I ever will be one," she explained. “The ratings are gonna shoot up after I'm on this show. Just kidding!”
Shannon's cameo came at an important moment for leading couple Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and her sort-of ex-husband, Jake (Paul Adelstein). The two were on a secret date when Abby thought a fan had caught them. Mid-photo it's revealed that she's snapping a photo of Shannon — not Jake and Abby. Earlier this season, GG2D EP Marti Noxon opened up about the couple's romance. "To me, part of the fun and the challenge of Season 2 was the question of, 'Can you overcome your history? Can you really start over with somebody even though how ever much love there is, there's still all that history and old habits?' And so that was really a fascinating thing to write about and see how it evolves," she teased to The Daily Dish. "We weren't entirely sure to be honest and then, and then we found our answer. I'm very excited for people to see how Jake and Abby make a go at it."
Expect more twists and turns with Jake and Abby going forward. Check out a preview of the drama, below.
