Shannon Storms Beador Reacts to John Janssen's $75K Lawsuit: "I Am Shocked"
The RHOC cast member addressed the reported lawsuit involving her ex-boyfriend and money he allegedly gave for a facelift.
The Real Housewives of Orange County's Shannon Storms Beador has addressed a report of a lawsuit filed by her ex, John Janssen, in regards to money he allegedly gave her for a facelift.
According to PEOPLE, Shannon's ex filed a lawsuit against her last week in Orange County Superior Court claiming she owes him $75,000 for, in part, breach or oral contract and promissory fraud among other matters. He allegedly gave her the money across multiple payments, with one payment for the facelift per the lawsuit, which also adds that she allegedly agreed to pay back the loan with interest.

Shannon addressed the matter in a statement to PEOPLE: "I am shocked and disappointed that John has a filed a lawsuit. My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorneys fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit. It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward. John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life."

An attorney for John also released a statement to PEOPLE: “Ms. Beador’s defense that Mr. Janssen paid her the $75,000 as a ‘gift’ is completely meritless, which their e-mails and text messages will show. Mr. Janssen is saddened that Ms. Beador’s unwillingness to repay the loans made it necessary to file this lawsuit.”
The lawsuit comes over a year since Shannon confirmed her split from John in January 2023 after three and a half years together. At the time, Shannon noted she was "blindsided" by the split. “He told me he was done with the relationship,” Shannon added at the time. “And to hear what he said to me then was absolutely devastating.”
Shannon Storms Beador's Facelift Details
Shannon opened up about having a facelift back in 2022 during the RHOC Season 16 reunion. "I had a facelift five weeks ago," Shannon revealed at the taping. "The surgeon called [my boyfriend] John [Janssen] and said, 'I've never cut more skin out of a neck in my entire career than I have with Shannon's.'"
