Why Scheana Shay Has "No Regrets" After Vanderpump Rules Season 11
The former SURver defended her actions in the Season 11 finale and reunion: "I was doing what felt best for me."
Scheana Shay is making zero apologies.
In the latest episode of her eponymous podcast, the Vanderpump Rules cast member took some time to reflect on the explosive Season 11 finale and subsequent reunion special. Scheana addressed the topic during the regular Q&A segment, in which a fan asked if she regretted any of her choices during those final episodes. Although the inquiry didn’t specify which “choices,” it’s safe to assume it was about Scheana's gracious attitude toward Tom Sandoval.
“No regrets, but I wouldn’t repeat my actions,” Scheana admitted. “I felt, in the moment, I was doing what felt best for me to be able to sleep at night. For me to give a little grace, I felt like that’s what I needed to do.”

Scheana alludes to the VPR Season 11 drama: "I had to choose a side"
Season 11 captured the aftermath of Tom’s scandalous breakup with Scheana’s good friend Ariana Madix. While she was firmly Team Ariana in the wake of the split, Scheana admittedly struggled to cut Tom out of her life. She touched on the dilemma in the Season 11 reunion.
“I [will] never forget what a good friend you’ve been to me,” she told Tom during the special. “You’re the only person who’s had my back since day one. I don’t forget that… I had to choose a side. And [Ariana] didn’t do anything wrong.”
Scheana admits she cares too much about "what everyone else thinks"
During the July 26 Scheananigans episode, Scheana confessed she was too concerned with other people’s opinions; however, she began taking steps to squash that mindset after receiving some advice from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s producer. Scheana said she met the two during a recent girl’s trip to London following a concert at Flippers Boogie Palace.
“And here’s one thing that was told to me this weekend by Dr. Dre’s producer. He said that he is friends with three billionaires and the one thing that they all have in common is they don’t give a f-ck,” she recalled. “And I’m like, ‘God, what does that feel like?’ I mean maybe that’s why I’m not a billionaire because I care so much about what everyone else thinks. I’m kidding. But I do. And I feel like you guys know that.”
Scheana insists she always has "the best intentions"
She continued: “I can live in the comment section at times. I do always try to do the right thing. But last summer I was also trying to do the right thing for me and I was trying to just figure out how I could, you know, navigate this show with these two people while staying loyal to Ariana.”
Scheana said she always has “the best intentions,” but her delivery and execution aren’t always correct.
“I have a good heart, and I’m just trying to do the right thing,” she said. “I’m trying to be a perfectionist… It doesn’t always work out… No regrets. But yeah, definitely not repeating.”
Scheana shares some wise words from Snoop Dogg
Scheana also shared a few words of wisdom from Snoop Dogg, who had a different take on the “YOLO” philosophy.
“He said that people always like to say you only live once,” she recalled. “And he goes, ‘But I’d like to say you only die once so you should live every day.’ And I was like, wow, that was poetic… And he said, you know, when it comes to your daughter you have to let her learn so you can be a better teacher… So yeah, wise words of advice from Dr. Dre’s producer and Snoop Dogg. Epic.”
