Scheana Shay Says Her Friendship with Ariana Madix Is "Better Than Ever"
Prepare to see a change between the #PumpRules pals.
Scheana Shay and Ariana Madix have always been the best of friends on Vanderpump Rules. Well, that was until last season when things got heated between the two over some text messages Scheana sent to Ariana's mom about her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval. The buds have stayed mostly cordial this season, except for that bit of tension when Ariana didn't invite Scheana to her NASCAR birthday getaway.
But don't let that fool you, because it's just like old times for Scheana and Ariana these days. "We're better than ever, honestly," Scheana gave an update on her friendship with Ariana on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "You'll see us in the next few weeks, us totally rekindle our friendship. We're great."
Scheana spoke to The Daily Dish before her appearance on WWHL and said that Ariana, in addition to pals Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristen Doute, has been incredibly supportive as she goes through her divorce from husband Mike Shay. "Ariana has been traveling a lot, but even from New Zealand, she was texting me being like, 'Are you OK? Do you need anything?'" Scheana told The Daily Dish. "I'm like, 'You are all the way across the world!'"
Though Ariana has been one of the Vanderpump Rules crew members who's been friendlier to Lala Kent, Scheana said that hasn't affected their relationship. "With Ariana and I's friendship, Lala isn't a factor in it. They're not best friends, they're not close friends, they're acquaintances, they're co-workers, they're friendly. They're not people who go out and get lunch and pedicures together," Scheana said during her interview with The Daily Dish. "So for me, that never really bothered me because I know where Ariana and I stand and where her and Lala are and it's in such a different place. Over the next few weeks on the show, you'll see Ariana and I kind of reconnect and you'll see more of that friendship grow back stronger as it was in the previous seasons."
