Scheana Confesses the Reason She Didn't Tell Katie About Kissing Tom Schwartz
The Vanderpump Rules cast member was was worried that confessing to the kiss would "hurt" Katie.
Scheana Shay is shedding some light on her secret makeout in Las Vegas with Tom Schwartz.
On Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Schwartz revealed that he had kissed Scheana in Sin City about a decade earlier, and that neither of them had told other people (although Schwartz later acknowledged that Tom Sandoval knew).
Though Schwartz was with his now-ex-wife, Katie Maloney, at the time, neither Schwartz nor Scheana told her about the kiss. On the April 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Scheana shared why.

When asked why she didn't tell Katie about the kiss when it first happened so many years earlier, Scheana said, "I think the better question is why didn't Schwartz tell Katie. You know? There's also that, which no one is asking."

The "Good as Gold" singer also thinks that if she had told Katie about the makeout, it would have backfired.
"And, at the time, if I would have told her this, it would have been turned on me, the [homewrecker], you know?" Scheana continued. "And I don't think it would have been received well. I think it would have looked like I'm trying to go after her man. So, I didn't want to upset her, and I didn't want to hurt her."
When Did Scheana & Tom Kiss?
On Season 11, Tom Schwartz shared that he had kissed Scheana about 12 years earlier.
"I made out with Scheana like 12 years ago in Vegas," he told Lala on Season 11, Episode 9. "No one even knows that. It was so long ago, and it was the most innocuous thing ever."
How Katie Maloney Really Reacted to Tom Schwartz and Scheana Shay's Kiss
When Katie did actually learn about the kiss on Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 9, she was, understandably, shocked. “What the actual f-ck, are you kidding me?” she said when Lala Kent delivered the news.
She then reflected on the timing of the kiss.
“I just have so many questions, like when was this?” she said. “And where exactly was this and was this the time that Schwartz said he went to Vegas and made out with one of Scheana’s friends, and was it actually, in fact, Scheana? There are just so many lies in this group it’s hard to keep track."
