Ross McHarg Breaks Down His Romantic Relationship with a Below Deck Alum
While speaking about his Below Deck alum ex, the St. David bosun admitted that they “broke each other’s hearts.”
While bosun Ross McHarg’s complicated romance with deckhand Katie Glaser has been front and center on Below Deck Season 10, it’s his past with a Season 8 alum that will steal the spotlight on the upcoming January 23 episode.
In a preview of Monday’s episode, Ross has a candid discussion with his bunkmate, chief stew Fraser Olender, about how his messy last relationship makes him wary of pursuing his connection with Katie any further.
After admitting that he feels “lost” in his feelings for Katie, he says he just wants “uncomplicated intimacy.” However, he doesn’t think “that’s possible” when living and working together on a superyacht because of the way his last relationship ended.
Ross McHarg shares that he had a long-term relationship with a stew from Season 8.
While reflecting on why he wants only low-commitment hookups at the moment, Ross delivers a jaw-dropping revelation: He once dated Elizabeth Frankini.
“My longest relationship was with Elizabeth Frankini,” Ross reveals in a confessional on the January 23 episode. “We were together on and off for four years. I guess we just broke each other’s hearts on multiple occasions in that relationship, which is why I don’t want a relationship at the moment.”
The two were clearly “off” (or done for good) when Elizabeth appeared on Below Deck Season 8 back in 2020. During her time on board My Seanna, Elizabeth formed a connection with deckhand James Hough, celebrated her 30th birthday, and got Captain Lee Rosbach’s much-dreaded plane ticket home after she mixed cleaning solutions together and accidentally created toxic mustard gas.
What is Below Deck alum Elizabeth Frankini doing now?
After her time on Below Deck, the free spirit has highlighted her travels on her public Instagram feed, and she’s also launched a “style subscription service” called Betta Style Box.
Elizabeth spends a lot of her time in Colorado and Florida, though she does occasionally return to Long Island, New York, which is where she grew up.
She went public with her boyfriend in 2021.
Her ex, Ross, may not be ready to settle down, but Elizabeth has happily been in a relationship for quite some time now. The former stew went public with her relationship in November 2021 by sharing a photo with her boyfriend.
“Secret’s out,” she wrote in the caption of her announcement post. “So in love with the love of my life.”
Elizabeth has yet to publicly share her beau’s name (or tag him on Instagram).
You can catch Elizabeth’s ex on Season 10 of Below Deck.
