Robyn Dixon Clarifies If She Has "an Open Marriage" with Juan Dixon
Karen Huger wanted to set the record straight on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
It was a game of “you started it” between The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Robyn Dixon and the Grand Dame, but Robyn made sure to shut one major rumor down.
In RHOP Season 8, Episode 3, Robyn and Karen Huger faced off amid ongoing cheating rumors swirling around Robyn’s husband, Juan Dixon. At Ashley Darby’s outdoor housewarming party at her new home, Robyn tackled the torrent of gossip, explaining, “I’m not running from anything.”
“I feel sorry for the people who waste their precious time worrying about my boring life,” Robyn explained to the group while they sat for a meal.
Robyn and Karen find peace in their friendship
Gizelle Bryant touched on how she believed Karen owed Robyn an apology for peddling some of the cheating rumors, which has become one of the hottest topics on RHOP Season 8. Karen said she, too, deserved an apology, adding there was “no moving forward” without them talking.
Inside the house, Karen began by stating that the two hadn’t been “the closest of friends” within the Housewives’ circle. She then admitted that she hadn’t helped Robyn’s marital situation by bringing up whispers last season that Juan was seen in Georgetown with a blond woman, insinuating there was infidelity in the relationship.
In Season 8, Episode 2 — since the Dixons married for a second time — Karen admitted, "It was a rumor."
At the time, Robyn returned with rumors surrounding Karen.
“What I care about is how Robyn Dixon and Karen Huger decide to move on,” Karen said in the recent episode, speaking in the third person. “To set boundaries, I think that, for me, I won’t repeat rumors about you. I will only repeat facts about you.”
Robyn agreed to do the “same thing.”
Are Robyn and Juan in an open marriage?
For Karen, hashing things out wasn’t enough, especially because she wanted to hear straight from Robyn’s mouth whether one particular rumor was true.

“Now, I need to know something,” Karen told Robyn. “Your marriage. Is it open, or is it traditional?”
Robyn smiled, confirming she and Juan had a traditional marriage.
“I do not have an open marriage,” she said.
To Karen’s satisfaction, Robyn also confirmed that she and Juan were involved in a legal marriage, prompting Karen to say, “That’s all I need to know.”
Of course, it seemed Karen was awaiting an apology before Robyn said, “You started it.” When Robyn said it back, both joked and repeated, “You started it,” as Karen rose from her chair to return to the party.
“Listen, the moral to this story is don’t talk about me, and I won’t talk about you,” Robyn told RHOP producers. “The end.”
Later in Season 8, Episode 3, while speaking to RHOP newcomer Nneka Ihim, Robyn had one final thought about the topic, explaining how she felt like there was a “pile-on” when previously confronted by Gizelle, Ashley, and Charrisse Jordan-Jackson about Juan’s cheating rumors.
“It’s the crazy life that we live,” said Robyn. “You go online, it’s new news about somebody. Everyone wants gossip, gossip, gossip.”
“I mean, you guys have your situation,” said Nneka. “You know what you’re doing; that’s all that matters.”
However, it seems drama surrounding Juan continues, as seen in the sneak peek of RHOP Season 8, Episode 4, which is enough for Candiace Dillard-Bassett to call him a “playa playa from the Himalayas.”
