Robyn Dixon Is So Proud Of Juan Dixon's New Coaching Gig: "His Story and Journey Is an Inspiration to Everyone"
Find out what the #RHOP mom had to say about his new position.
Robyn Dixon's ex-husband Juan Dixon has a new job to celebrate. The former basketball pro has been named head men's basketball coach at Coppin State University in Baltimore. The Real Housewives of Potomac mom shared the news on Instagram.
"Congrats to Juan on being named the new Head Men's Basketball Coach at Coppin State University!!! I really can't express how proud I am of Juan for believing in himself and staying confident and faithful that one day his dream of leading a Division one men's basketball team would come true," she said. "His story and journey is an inspiration to everyone who knows their purpose and passion but have found that the road to success is not easily given to you. Juan never gave up on his dreams, even after some very difficult challenges and a lot of rejection. The young men at Coppin are so blessed to have Juan as their leader. Go Eagles!!!"
Juan spoke about the new gig at a press conference on Wednesday, noting that it was a job he wanted to get after Coppin State fired Michael Grant last month. “I will work hard every day to make you proud,” he said, according to the Baltimore Sun. “I will be a leader that you and the city of Baltimore will be extremely proud of. Every day, me and my staff will grind to make a difference in our players’ lives. I promise we’re going to do it at a high level.”
Juan reportedly got pretty emotional at the press conference. “I feel like this has come full circle, I really do. 38 years ago, it all started when I was born five minutes from here on Liberty Heights [Avenue] at Provident Hospital,” he said. “For me to be here today with all of you is a dream come true.”
