Below Deck's Brian de Saint Pern and Tanner Sterback's First Impression of Rhylee Gerber Will Make You Blush
The deckhands had an, uh, interesting reaction to the yachtie coming back in Season 7.
Rhylee Gerber made her triumphant return to Below Deck in the November 25 episode, and she definitely made a fiery first impression with the crew members she was meeting for the first time.
But even before fireworks broke out during the crew's dinner, Brian de Saint Pern and Tanner Sterback were quite taken aback by Rhylee's entrance right when she climbed aboard the Valor, the deckhands explained during their appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Monday night. Tanner said that Rhylee gave him an unexpectedly "warm welcome," but not for the reason that you think. We'll just let the yachties explain in the above video.
Brian actually seemed excited to see Rhylee while tweeting after she popped up in a preview for the rest of this season of Below Deck last week. Kate Chastain was also glad to have Rhylee back.
“I think that this is the perfect time and the perfect person to come in because I think that the boys onboard are becoming a little too much of a fraternity,” the chief stew said during a recent interview with Decider. “I think Rhylee’s good at her job, I’m happy to have her back because I like her, so I’m happy for so many reasons.”
Unsurprisingly, Ashton Pienaar was more cautious about Rhylee joining the Season 7 crew. “Her coming on again, I couldn’t get emotional, I couldn’t get flustered," he told Decider. "My biggest thing was just not to bring baggage from last season and give her the opportunities that she didn’t have last season. Let’s play it her way, give her what she wants, and let’s see what we’ll get out of Rhylee then.”
